About deSleeper
These tools will provide workarounds to make the use of Wake-On-Lan easier, more reliable, and compliant with security standards.
Wake-On-Lan allows off or sleeping machines to be started remotely, but is difficult to make work in many network environments. This is especially true for desktop machines in corporate networks. Also in these environments machines are often left on when not in use so they can be accessed remotely.
These tools will provide workarounds to make the use of Wake-On-Lan easier, more reliable, and compliant with security standards. I hope to encourage more users to configure their machines to shutdown, sleep or hibernate and conserve power when not in use, with the confidence that they will have access when necessary.
